Academy of Hockey: Summer Powerskating Camp Description

Join us for an engaging 4-week  Powerskating Camp aimed at enhancing young athletes' skating skills and overall performance on the ice! This comprehensive program focuses on key areas essential for developing proficient hockey players:

  • Hitting Stride: Learn the fundamentals of efficient skating techniques to maximize speed and stride length. Our experienced coaches will provide personalized instruction to help each participant find their optimal skating style.

  • Edges: Master the art of edge control through targeted drills that emphasize balance and agility. Players will engage in various exercises to improve their ability to maneuver swiftly and effectively on the ice.

  • Overspeed Training: Push your limits with our overspeed training sessions, designed to enhance quickness and acceleration. By incorporating specialized drills, players will develop the ability to move faster and react quicker during gameplay.

  • Power Skating: Focus on developing powerful strides and explosive speed. Our power skating curriculum includes exercises that strengthen leg muscles and improve overall skating technique, ensuring players skate with confidence and strength.
